What I wore today.

I’ve been getting more and more requests for outfit posts. And I’ve been meaning to, its just that I don’t feel I look “good” all the time to post all the time like some other bloggers do. I will wake up, put on some jeans and a t-shirt to drop my son off at school and go get coffee and spend the rest of the day just working, like that in some boring jeans and a tee.

Now, when I have on something else that’s a whole different story; I have to disrupt the hubby from his work schedule.  My methods of persuation gets tested each time. And it goes a bit like this

ME: ” sweety, can you take a pic of me please”

HUBBY – “well ( pause) je suis en plein travail la, je ne peut pas arrêter juste pour prendre ton photo”

ME:  ”pretty, please”

HUBBY: ” ok, but not with your shitty camera,bring mine” …

ME: “oh thanks sweety!”. *sigh. then *smile.

For the record, my camera happens to be a really good Nikon D3000 but he’s a pro and it just doesn’t match up to his Nikon D3S with a super huge (and expensive) lens. He’s so french!

Hey! Can you tell that I cut the waist off the pants – I kinda love that the rough edges were showing. I bought these maybe 2 years ago in the mens dept. at H&M.

I’m having so much fun with my 30 day clothing cleanse I twitted about here – I haven’t bought anything in 10 days! It’s forcing me to recycle my clothes more. It’s like the 80/20 rule (Pareto principle) but with your closet.  You guys should try it!

Who knew? Not I, and I’m guessing neither did you. But oh my, these gowns are sexy and chic. I even found a couple for under $300!!! To all you ladies out there who are looking for some cute finds on the right side of the budget spectrum look no further. J-Crew has some pretty dresses that don’t compromise the importance of that special day by looking cheap. Congratulations on your wedding and happy dress hunting!

Wait, hold on, somebody check waht time it is please. You know something’s off key if your search for Chanel J12 watches on Goggle and the results turn up eight sites where replicas can be bought for the great deal of $590…

As compared to two real sources that offer the watches for their actual prices: $3,285(for the large size) and $2,920(for the mid size).
Damn, 8:2 ratio of fakes to real. Now that’s real!!!

Ok, so truth be told I saw these sexy babies on a routine stroll through NYC’s Chinatown (famous for being a knock-off haven)!
What?!! I didnt buy anything…that time. But point is I go there quite often it keeps me grounded, letting me know what people want so baddly that they’re willing to pay to get the knock-offs. Believe me, if you’re in fashion, retail or merchandising try it. You’ll learn so much to watch people’s buying behavior.

Well, I fell, hard hard, in love with the Chanel J12 Ceramic white watch, but I made a promise to buy it for myself when I’ve worked enough to deserve it (no such thing, I really want it now)…Mon Dieu, how any hints must a girl through at her man about the stuff she likes and wants!

Apparently many people want it as bad as I do, who also can’t really afford it, and are willing to settle for a fake, but a good fake (I’m still dropping hints).

Ok so maybe you’re not a namebrand ho like moi, but you can grab you a pretty decent Guess watch for $135 at Macys.
The Guess Women’s White Enamel Bracelet Watch is great if:
(1) you have a conscience and can’t buy knock-off ( too bad)
(2)just aint got the $$$( also bad)
(3)simply don’t care for Chanel ( but lets pretend for my sake that it’s one of the first two reasons, ok…:)
