Recently came across a post on Buzzfeed about the before and afters of Pin Up Girls. It got me thinking about body image and how we feel about ourselves are closely related to the “norms” imposed by the media or popular culture.

It’s also interesting to see  the fashion from this time, women’s “fuller” bodies, and how even back then they had their version of modern day “photoshoping”.

It’s mostly a display of vintage clothes – I saw some really old Hermes and YSL bags and shoes. Many of the footwear items ( non-brand names ) where ranging from 20 to 90 Euros. I tried on a pair of army/camouflage Christian Louboutins for 600 Euros! But I also saw pair of Loubotins for 120 Euros ( was a size 37 though).

If you’re around or planning on doing something fun and some shopping in Paris this is the place to go.

Not to mention you’ll be in the neighborhood of the Marais, with many Parisian boutiques and hot spots.

Have been feeling great and having so much fun lately!

Nothing compares to the thrill I get from digging through bins and finding something that’s so one of a kind at a price that’s so damn hard to beat.  I’m a bonafide Thrifter, just call me the High Thriftess.

The turtleneck top is so softly knitted and the bleached dyed skirt hits just below the knee with some weird frill action going on the sides but I loved that the most.

The clog shoes I paired with wool socks because it’s a lil bit chilly here.

It was recently sold via my Vintage Shop up on Etsy. Check it out for retro and vintage clothes in great condition. I buy a lot of great vintage and thrift items that I end up never wearing or only wearing once, this is a good way for me to spread the joy.

Long story; I woke up to feed my baby and couldn’t seem to get back to sleep – it was just one of those nights where my mind was just wondering all over the place.

Alas I headed over to one of my favorite design blogs, which by the way has a new awesome look, Decor8 for some late night inspiration. While reading I had clicked through a link that led me to the FredFlare site, which I had totally forgotten about, but is one of those online retailers that you’d love to window surf because of all the fun stuff. You know like that hamburger phone from Juno.

Anyways this is how I onto Etsy.com, can’t quite remember how I got there, but you know these things go, but boy was I glad to find this LaOtra store! Really pristine vintage dresses and tops, for cheap! I’m also seduced by the little stories she writes up to go along as product description. they are so different, poetic and romantic!

I would like to do an Etsy feature now at least once a week on the blog, because of all the good stuff I found, that I know you’d love too.
