We’re going a little bit retro today and taking it back to That 70s Show style: Flare leg jeans. Yea, leave it to us to get excited about the return of bell bottoms!

But we can’t take all the blame/ credit  - we say look at vintage photos of Jane Birkin and Farrah Fawcett (in Charlie’s Angels, 1976).

Here are 2 wide leg denim pants that will have you looking stylish no matter your preference; low-rise or high-rise jeans.

Four versions of the Clog Shoe Trend

Who let the clogs out??

Clogs are coming back in style. We all know that everything Alexa Chung wears immediately becomes a trend or sells out – case in point those Acne Atacomas.

Now here she is wearing a Chanel Clog siting with 14 year old blogger Tavi in front row.

Are you ready to rock the trend? You be the judge.

Winter Trends – Parka Power

parka trend

Topshop has just introduced a line of Parkas to their new collection – I’ve been seeing many women wearing their Parkas quite stylishly here in Paris – I bought mine at H&M and I wear it when I’m dressed up or down. It Just works – keeps me warm and it matches my green YSL bag :)

Parkas – the traditional unstylish utilitarian outerwear are making a huge comeback. Look out for them in 2010…

Fashion Faceoff – two sexy winter boots

Same sexy style different price points:
We are in the middle of winter, it’s still cold and mushy out, but that doesn’t mean you have to give up being hot and sexy. These winter boots are perfect because the padding keeps your legs warm, and they have a cool street edge without being as rough or ugly as UGGs or Emus ( yes, yes. I know you’re a die hard fan, but seriously they’re hideous, and yes i used to have a pair, who am I kidding we’re all just fashion victims, but wake up and realize that unless you’re in the backwoods somewhere of out climbing a mountain, these boots should not be walking around Madison avenue). These are a more elegant alternative that can even be worn to work.

Pedro Garcia, Agatha Quilted Platform Boot

Ash, Naomi Tall Puffy Nylon Boot

Can you tell which one is $287.50 and which is $63.00?

Both available online at Shopbop.com I love that store and now there are tons of designer items on sale many even under $100. I was kinda said when they sold out of the Marc Jacobs Jacket that was on sale for $150!

Pastel Color Trends at New York Fashion Week, Spring 2009

Splashes of powder pink seems to be the latest trend watch for Spring 2009, New York Fashion Week this September. And why not, it’s a refreshing change from the present winter 2008 trend of deep hues and plenty of purple and black. I for one can’t wait for Spring 2009. I’m already so over the tartan trends of this season. Seriously, just give me anything with color, or anything with wearable pink that doesn’t make me look like a dressed up Barbie doll and I’m good.
 How about you?

TSE gave us some sexy and comfortable looking ensembles, with lots of light and breezy fabrics, you know likes ones we’d like to wear and get stopped with compliments on the street only to say ” oh this thing, I just threw it together this morning”

Abaete shows us how to wear pink leggings with almost everything, and makes it look like a cross between Marie Antoinette and Debbie Harry, a little bit sweet and rock and roll at the same time.

Alexandre Herchcovitch brought us sultry shades of pink to mesmerize, with loads of femininity from fabrics that flows with your curves to the circular ruffled styled cuts.

Daughters by Obedient Sons, did what I would term as Yves Saint Laurent meets American Apparel( I know a lot can fall between here), tailored pant suits and plenty of basis cotton t-shirt styles.

Ruffian has so far showed one of my best lines this seasons with  streamlined  femininity that’s rough around the edges. See through pastel  sprinkled tops, plenty of fringe accessories such as knee high brown sandals.

Threeasfour this season reminds me of a bouquet of dried roses, where the reds have faded to an over-worn pink but you can still see the beauty in their existence.
There was plenty of pastel colors on the runways the Spring 2009 NYC Fashion Week going on in New York City.  Stay tuned for more trends updates.
