What I wore today.

I’ve been getting more and more requests for outfit posts. And I’ve been meaning to, its just that I don’t feel I look “good” all the time to post all the time like some other bloggers do. I will wake up, put on some jeans and a t-shirt to drop my son off at school and go get coffee and spend the rest of the day just working, like that in some boring jeans and a tee.

Now, when I have on something else that’s a whole different story; I have to disrupt the hubby from his work schedule. My methods of persuation gets tested each time. And it goes a bit like this

ME: ” sweety, can you take a pic of me please”

HUBBY – “well ( pause) je suis en plein travail la, je ne peut pas arrêter juste pour prendre ton photo”

ME: ”pretty, please”

HUBBY: ” ok, but not with your shitty camera,bring mine” …

ME: “oh thanks sweety!”. sigh. then smile.

For the record, my camera happens to be a really good Nikon D3000 but he’s a pro and it just doesn’t match up to his Nikon D3S with a super huge (and expensive) lens. He’s so french!

Hey! Can you tell that I cut the waist off the pants – I kinda love that the rough edges were showing. I bought these maybe 2 years ago in the mens dept. at H&M.

I’m having so much fun with my 30 day clothing cleanse I twitted about here – I haven’t bought anything in 10 days! It’s forcing me to recycle my clothes more. It’s like the 80/20 rule (Pareto principle) but with your closet. You guys should try it!

I Spy: acid wash jeans trend

whats that saying we are always hearing time and time again in fashion? “Everything old is new again” What can I say I’m a sucker for a sale and I almost bought myself a pair of acid skinnys at this cheapy chain store here called Jennyfer. Looking back at it now, I’m in fashion regret.

Hot off the Street(wear)

It’s like my uniform out of the office, and since i’ve been running my own office these days ☺ I wear what I like, and what I like are really nice quality and fitted jeans that hug my skinny legs.

I don’t really do t-shirts but I have tons of simple tops that I rock with my jeans and even more accessories to pump up the volume: like killer heels, bright sneakers, ethnic jewelry, I got it man! My closets a mix of thrift store chic and bad girl freaky finds. Here’s a list of what’s going to be next on my list, and hopefully in my closet soon.

I love Soundgirl! Have you ever seen their colorful hoodies? They’re what I like to call “fresh to death”…hehe
And I’ve found that their skinnies(jeans) fit my body good, like a tire on a rim.

Oh, and I haute any denim with back pockets that scream; they add volume to my derrière. That, I can always use.

I feel a weird connection to the guys at WeSC, even though they made way better shit for the guys than they do for the girls, I’m faithful to them because they use quality fabrics and don’t do cheap stitching. You can practically live in their jeans.

This one’s cool because its not as low as many jeans on the market. You know its not all the time that I want to show my ass crack.

Ok, so the peoples at Evisu finally wised up and did a female version of their widely popular men’s premium denim with the logo on the back and all(remember when only Jay-Z and Pharell used to rock them?), but you have to be a rocking chic to pull this off. Leave it to me…hehe

Aight, So I’ve never actually bought a pair of jeans over $300 but I know for a fact that Evisu makes some of the best denim in the world, fo real. So, If I have it to spare, why wouldn’t I want the best covering my pretty toosh.

Style Steal: Jennifer Lopez

Jennifer Lopez was recently out and about promoting her new single “que hiciste” off her new album, her first ever All Spanish Album, I know we all might want her clothing but would we really buy the album? I mean the last all spanish album I bought was Bebe in 2005, and it was and still is awesome, but for Jlo’s sake I hope she does Spanish better than/equal to her english songs because she now has to please two crowds of fans. I will be keeping my eyes on the charts.

Anyways I loved her recent simple style and made a lil collage of alternatives that will certainly give you a bang for your buck.

Ciara’s TRL Look for Less.

Ciara visited MTV TRL this week, and as always looking good in those high waisted jeans, once again, I know how many of you feel about this trend, but for the rest that are a little bit daring take the plunge with the look for less. I really like the Grey Ant jeans, but it doesnt fit into the “less $$” category, so I found this cute jean, at ASOS, but it doesnt seem to have any stretch.
