Old Levi’s and New Lanvin’s

Hmm, it’s 12:30 am and I can’t sleep so that’s a great excuse to do an outfit post, right?

These photos are from weeks ago (before Paris fashion week) , but I should put it up – will post more looks in the days to come.

Hopefully my outfit can inspire you to rock something that’s just been hanging in your closet.

What I Wore: Paris Fashion Week

Hi guys!

I’m still in a mental coma from all the fashion and fabulousness of Paris Fashion Week 2011 / 2012 Collections. I went to many shows and took so many photos its seems almost ridiculous to write a short summary now.

Until I get over being “si fatiguée” I will write a lovely trend round-up (I did for work anyways) and perhaps even create a new site for all the lovely streetstyle photos that just seem to take on a life of their own.

Everyday, I was falling more and more in love with my camera. I’m not a professional photographer, but as a writer I see no harm in multitasking, especially when you get to meet and interview some of the most stylish people in the world!

Until then here are two of my outfits, shot by two very darling photogrpahers Phil Oh from Streetpeeper for Metro paper and Guerre from Swagger360 for Vogue Italia.

Yanique in neon green at Paris Fashion week

This is the outfit that Anna Dello Russo liked. I’m wearing mostly vintage (shades, top & kilt skirt) , and the Zara Coat and Boots I wore here. I had so much this day because I’ve been dying to wear my kilt and this top again. I just love how bright the green is and it has some tiny gold buttons on the details that were so cute.

H&M Dress + Celine Belt + Zara Coat

I’ve been meaning to post this outfit for the last 5 days now! But I’ve been so busy freelancing. So please bear with me, pretty please.

Last week was still cold and a bit wet here in Paris, but I’m starting to feel the sunshine ( even if it was for only 1 hour today :) ) I know, I’m the eternal optimist, I can’t help myself!

We went to see Black Swan and I loved Natalie’s acting – you could tell she must have really immersed herself in the role – so yes, I think she deserve an award, Mila Kunis was great and Vinent Cassel was sexy. But I saw it on an afternoon – when I really wanted to watch something “light” and so I left the theatre feeling like ” that was a bit melodramatic”. Terrible I know! Go see it for yourself and let me know what you think.

Last week started off great with a bit of vintage shopping with friends - I bought this Celine belt and a small Dior purse – in sort of like an 1950 themed warehouse, with antique furniture, vintage jewelry and clothes, musicians and even a proper barber giving men haircut reminiscent of John Travolta in Grease. It was so cool! I’ll be back in March and I’ll share some photos then.

I usually wear my hair loose and out, but this “chignon”  hair bun thing is starting to grow on me.

Thanks to Andrea and Sandy for Tweeting me about my photos on EasyFashion.  So many people took photos of me on this day that I don’t even know where  they end up. These are from a different angle and thanks to Fred from EasyFashion.blogspot.com

Also, more photos here on StreetPeeper.com from Phil.

I think there is a page dedicated to Trench Coats in The One Hundred: A Guide to the Pieces Every Stylish Woman Must Own
,written by Nina Garcia, and it’s well worth it.

This coat has been my go-to when I am in a hurry to get out the house and don’t have time to “dress to kill” – it covers everything with style! I can tell all my girlfriends that if you invest in a good trench coat you’ll never be dissatisfied.

I can’t tell you guys how much I love this hat, I have one in black and another brown checkered one too. Need to post those photos!

PS…Get The One Hundred: A Guide to the Pieces Every Stylish Woman Must Own it’s more than an interesting read for essential fashion pieces, the illustrations are to die for!

My Birthday Suit

We went to our favorite Sunday brunch restaurant, Le Pavilion, it’s always quiet and the brunch is what I like to call “hearty” in a very British style, Hash browns,Bacons and all.

My hubby got the traditional brunch. I however, considering my new nutritional decisions took the Soja Burger and it’s was delicious as it looks.

Pierre was busy doing the usual playing sleep in the sofa and/or searching for my breast (I swear he has got this thing for caressing my breast when he’s sleepy, probably has something to do with the fact that he was breastfed until he was 1yr old).

Anyways, this is what I wore on my birthday/earth-day, my new Pierre Hardy heels!

I bought them a while back with my friend Kristina, and finally got the courage and occasion.
