I’m in Public Magazine, Paris

Category : paris, streetstyle

So as promised to all my Tweeties (http://twitter.com/toocutemag) on Monday, here is the photo that was taken on me for Public Magazine.

I was walking home from work on Rue Montorgueil – one good thing about my job is that I get to dress up or down as much I like.

I had a pretty rough day at work so I was listening to some relaxing music, when out of nowhere jumped the photographer asking for my photo.  That made my day :)

This cotton dress I found at FreepStar (My favorite vintage store in Le Marais) in mint condition, wish I had shown the amazing details on the shoulders but I was freezing!

and the belt is also vintage from Episode (Rue Tiquetonne). Boots Jonak, Coat  Fifth Avenue Shoe Repair

And there was the lovely Andrea too from Paris Most Wanted. Be sure to check out their blog!

Off I go to bake my hubby a Banana Chocolate cake for his birthday…yummy!

xoxo

They told me to walk this way…

To welcome the warm weather here in Paris I’m bearing some legs!

I figured might as well let it rip, I’ve been waiting so long to suck up some sun, and yesterday was perfect on my way back from lunch.
me upclose
The graffiti backdrop is a killer – its smack in the center of paris on a storefront – gotta love it!

I’m really into pin-tuck jackets right now for the flowy dimension it can add and it really softened up my rock chic look.

Now that is getting warmer and spring is here I’ll definetley try to upload more post on what I’m wearing – not because I’m superficial and all ( hehe well maybe a tad bit) but because I think its so much fun to have a photo fashion library to look back on trends and stuff we used to wear.

I always get inspired or crack myself up look at old pics of my mom and someday my kids will be looking back at their crazy mom and her wanna-be fashion blog, perhaps with the same sentiments.

On to the next one…search for perfection

More photos of me on the streets of Paris – will try to add more , more and more. It’s like therapy playing dress-up and getting your photo taken by your hubby.

Right now I’m listening to On to the next one by Jay-Z... guess, you just can’t kill the New Yorker in me :)

“Cant be scared to fail , search for perfection – on to the next one – world can’t hold me back got too much ambition”…

Listening to Jay is like NYC therapy. Sometimes its really hard creating a “home” away from “home” – I’ve been feeling quite homesick about being away from New York, best friends, parents and all. And dealing with a whole different culture on so many different levels – work, customs and social life…

Do you ever get “homesick” ?

Looking on the bright side my boys are here and thats all right with me :)
check out my husbands website here.

Also if you’re ever in paris come check out Spoken Word Paris on Monday nights in Belleville. It’s a cool and cozy lil bar with a stage where you can get up and do a reading, poetry or performance. Last night was off the hook, very powerful and moving.

I read a poem I wrote about steak – yea thats right – red meat…lol

So you all know that I hate having my photos taken – I’m trying to get more into it. So my hubby took tons of photos of me today on our way to our lunch date – and I thought I was looking so ordinary.

But whateves…right!

Zara dress + boots + customized jacket, Jad Scarf + Rabbit fur vest, vintage necklace, LV bag.

Photos compliments of my darling hubby.

My love for red Vespas
