Marc Jacobs in Rehab

Reached for comment earlier today Jacobs’ business partner Robert Duffy confirmed the rumor that had started to circulate around New York. “Marc made the right decision,” Duffy said. “He’d been sober for seven years. When he relapsed, he wanted to deal with it right away.[WWD]

The Designer, who just completed his show in Paris, is reported to have immediately checked himself into a Rehab Facility in Arizona, after seven years of sobriety.

I’m glad that he made the move to make him better and not just sit around thinking he’d be ok, because the next thing that could happen could be a overdose. Alcohol and drug dependency are real issue that many people face everyday, and it’s never too late to get help. He’s already on the road to recovery as acceptance of your addiction is the first step.

My prayers and positive energy are with him in this time.

Marc my word! – Marc Jacobs at New York Fashion Week

Ah…so fresh, and ever so bold Mr. Jacobs is offering up another dose of “Not what you’d expect” . Seriously all 56 looks that came down the runway were def ready to be worn off the runway. He stayed away from last years layers and bubbles and bulks but opted for the opposite: sleek narrow styles with tons of color. Like Paris in the 40s, complete with hats and gloves. I must also say that the working office female will find no shortage of classic comfy yet stylish and somewhat edgy suits to wear. The whole line was very professional in feel, tailored pants and below the knee skirts, vest cuts and jackets, the whole works. The accesories were as much a part of the show as the clothes, the necklaces were bold and colorful, the gloves were often long and bright, the belts were double folded, the shoes were very victorian. Here are some of my favorites:

Where to buy your black dress?

>> ($358) What can I say its Marc!!! Oh, just kidding…Its a cute and modern take on the traditional lil black dress. Be sure to check out the blue details on the fabric and the back.
Marc Jacobs

>> ($23)
This lil beauty is simple yet sophisticated and best of all it won’t burn a hole in your pockect!!
Forever 21

>>($29)

Great for a days wear. Wrap dresses are very flatering on the hips and thighs.
Go Jane

>>($66.50) Kate Bosworth wore a cream version earlier this year. Well, not really this exact version….jeeez. But it is cute!!
Asos

>> ($139) This one reminds me of the 80′s and some disco inspired movie, like Saturday Night Fever.
Bebe

Glad to have been of service!

The Little Balck Dress

If there is one fashion piece that almost every woman has in common its the little black dress. Its essential to the wardrobe of any true fashionista. Truth be told we have more than one. I’ve compilled a list that shows some of my favorite that can fit into any budget category. So dont be bashful, if you don’t yet have a lil black number, this is your time to go out and grab one before the Christmas dinner or trip to the in-laws. Or better yet, treat yourself to Breakfast at Tiffanys.
