I love Chloe Sevigny’s outfit and wonder if the bags the Olsen twins are wearing will be the Elizabeth and James line for 2012?

Fashion Mood Board: Feeling (for) Blue

I’ve been posting very sporadically lately and I have to ask for your forgiveness, but I’ve been working on some very demanding projects that I can’t wait to tell you guys about. shhhhh………. soon!!!

In the meantime, I seem to be craving a lot of things right now and many of them are blue.

The Blue YSL Muse 2 + Marc Jacobs ring and clog bootsLike this YSL Muse 2, that I’ve been dreaming about since 2008 and Twitted about here !

I have about 3 denim shirts already and just bought another one on sale at Zara. I break down for a sales, like I get all weak in the knees and wallet!

I’m in love with big bold jewelry. I feel naked without something shinny and these fulfill my need to be colorful too! by Marc by Marc Jacobs.   These boots are by Marc Jacobs too and I was so psyched to grab them at Galleries Lafayette in my size! They are like my everyday shoes now – they go with everything from skirts to jeans.

I want some red Jeans (already have red pants), I’ve been itching to find the perfect fit, even if  just to wear them with the red pair of slim-fit pants I got for my son recently.

I saw this lady during the last PFW and I love the mix of a white t-shirt, black blazer and red leather pants.

And I’m going out shopping for a Fur coat this weekend (sorry PETA!). I’ll post the pics if I find anything nice.

Nighty night Lovelies!

xoxo

Day Four +Five – Fall 2010 Ready to Wear NYC Fashion Week

Fall 2010 Ready to Wear- The Best of Day Four & Five– New York Fashion Week

Marc Jacobs

Initials thoughts where  ”wait – no, they cant be wearing flats!” gasp – “of course not, they’re like , um what you call them …kitten heels” OMG.

Leave it to Marc to kick the six inch heel trend out. Ladies if your a Trifter ( aka person who loves to thrift shop for vintage pieces) then you’ll love  Marc’s latet collection , which I’d like to sum up High School Teacher Sophistication – clear eyeglasses, flats with socks, pants suits, skirts that hit below the knee and granny purses.

But lets not be too judgemental here, the last part of the show nicly progressed into “I’m working the hell out of these flats” with fur trimmed long dresses, bright yellow sweaters and velvet skirts like only Marc can do.  Oh! and that transparent coat – leaves me a bit unsure – but its fashion as art and is what to be expected from the man that challenges us to be a little bit more original. Let’s get off the caravan people!

Donna Karen

Traditionally after 25 years you celebrate with Silver, but After 25 years of shows for Donna Karen, she decided to celebrate with black.  The timeless shade – black never goes out of style and almost anyone can comfortably wear a LBD ( little black dress). In a way her collection was a futuristic look on the brand as well a homage to its previous years – cocoon styled coats, sultry leather lined dresses a equal mix of past and future.

Zac Posen

Zac Posen’s collection reminded me of the type of designs you’d see at a graduation for a Fashion school – a lot of theory  some practicality but mostly a show that left didn’t leave people saying “I want that!” – their was no envy for the pieces.

Tracey Reese

There was no big bang idea behind the fall 2010 collection  for Tracy Reesse, you could tell she kept the daydreaming out of this seasons look with a focus on ready-to-wearabilty and keeping up with trends - lace, layers and faux fur. But in a way the collection seemed like it could have been one of those retail GO collaborations with Target – Mass Appeal with slight infusions of the designers brand.

Marc Jacobs Inspired bag for $49.99

The fact that Hillary Duff, is my niece’s little Disney Hero slash sweetheart,
and that (well unbeknown to conventional media) she ‘s yet to make it to rehab! – a la Linsdey Lohan and Britney Spears, makes her a cool chica in my book.

Oh, and of course I like her style too, which is why I’m talking
about her in the first place. I recently saw a picture of her and
it reminded me how bad I really wanted that bag she had on.

When I finally start making enough money ( I’m presently what
you’d call self-employed” aka on a tight budget – no I’m not a Stripper!,
but you know, I did see “Hustle and Flow”, and it might not be
so bad after all, right? lol)

Anyways let me stay on track here.

Basically I saw the bag in the Marc Jacobs Fall 2006 collection,
drolled over it, wiped my face and then came back to reality
( ie I cant afford this bag on my measly punk ass pay-check).

Marc Jacobs- Ready to Wear, Fall 2006

So, damn, here’s what I’m getting instead!!! who’s going to really
tell the difference? This website is great, almost all the bags are
retakes of brand name favorites like Chloe, Dior, YSL and all are
very reasonable priced with great materials.

BagHaus bags are bad ass for spunky fashionista on a dime.

Go on, take a look, for $49.99, why not?
