The Skinny Model Debate: Let them eat cake!

Oh heck…Paris Haute week just wrapped up and we’re on the heel of NYC fashion week, and of course there is still the heated debate about the “toothpick thin” models. What to do, what to do? The industry is certainly getting a lot of pressure from people both within and outside.
Shoot, I say let it be. These people have built an empire on skinny-ness being the epitome of a great model (ok except Tyra Banks – who claims she was never bone thin, on her Larry King Interview last night).
But I digress, point is Rome was not built in one day, and it’ll probably take more days to renovate. The fashion industry needs a self-evaluation and a make-over, true. Most of these models have a steady diet of fruits, miso soup and cigarettes, true. It will take more than talk to have more “healthier” looking models on the runway, true.
We know for sure that they’ll be a staple on the London catwalks
What’s you’re two cents on the issue?

Like MUSE-IC to my ear

I randomly came across this magazine (by that I mean I was clicking through the pages of my myspace page, when I realized somebody wrote something about a magazine I used to love (Suede Magazine) that no longer exists, and she said that MUSE will fill the hole that Suede has left. So, I thought ” Don’t think so, but let me check them out online”…

OMG, MUSE is awesome, is so beautiful in its simplicity, I can’t wait for it to hit newsstands! It touches on topics related, to fashion, love, art, beauty and music. What more could a fashion crazed girl with a soul ask for?

Thanks to Jamala from Myspace.
