Bye bye Lindsey Lohan - what a hot mess of a quick fling designer that was – and hello Giles Deacon!

I for one am anxious to see what comes down the runway next fashion week. Deacon has taken over Emanuel Ungaro as Creative Director.
He is known for his own line since 2004 but has also “spent time at the Louis Vuitton, Bottega Veneta, and Gucci studios, among others, and he’s honed his knack for mixing superior craftsmanship with whimsical irreverence.” according to Style.com

Lindsey Lohan and her line for Ungaro have been in the news a lot this week – and even here in Paris where she’s on the cover of Grazia Paris wearing a bright pink/fuchsia Ungaro dress, Gucci boots and a Louis Vuitton ring in true La-Lohan fashion.
While in the US many are still wondering what went wrong with this fashion collaboration that in the beginning seemed so promising – rumors have it that Lindsey is not getting paid in cash but in clothes and that well ” the line needed to be created rather quickly” which have many fashion critics thinking, wouldn’t have been better to wait a bit and create something a little bit more imaginative?
Hmmm – it took one messy disaster like this to show celebrity + designers doesn’t always equal success.

Also in this weeks issue tons of styling inspiration
I’ve managed to scan a couple pages. Be warned my scanner is not that high tech so some of the images may be under par.
with love from Paris!

PS I’m so loving these studded Louboutin loafers!

Everyone was out in full swing at the 2008 Grammy Pre-shows and main event and after parties. The 2008 Grammy Awards were held at the Staples Center on Sunday in Los Angeles. Here are some of our favorite ladies who were heating up the red carpet in what seems to be the big trend for this season: colors!
I’m loving Nelly Furtado’s greek-like wrap dress in this bright hue of blue!
Its not often that we get to Ri Ri all covered, but I love this look a lot. What do you think?
Here she goes again in this pretty funky dress matching her asymmetrical bangs.
Alicia Keys was wearing a darker blue dress, but the pleated detail at the back really adds substance to the classy look
She looks great in this earth toned dress too.
Only Miss Bootyliscous herself, Beyonce, can get away with this…
Oh Fergie Ferge, “you know we love you long time”…
Ammm, when did lil Mama grow up? Loving the Chanel dress though!
La Lohan rocking those golden heels.

So, remember last week when I told you about the Calypso sale? Well, I hope you got some of the Siwy Jeans because that was probably your last chance to get “the must have jeans” at that unbelievable $75 price.
No seriously, they’re like the J Brand of last year, or so they hope.
Personally I dont feel too strongly, for them, dont see anything too outstanding or particiluy worthy of my money, apart from the fact that people like Kate Moss and La Lahon rocks it, but it’s 2007, and I’m so over being a fashion groupie ( ahhh, well right now I am, lets wait to see what Kate wears next (wink) .
Anyways, if you don’t know here’s whats on the lips of denim freaks and asses of celebrities. Siwydenim.com

Like.com lets you select a celebrity, anybody( guy or girl), whose style you like, I choose Alicia Keys and a pair of red gloves she wore at the New York fashion week.
1. they produce a couple images of Alicia Keys in different outfits
2. highlighting certain products such as items of clothing, jewelry and shoes they might be wearing
3. then you can click on these highlighted areas
4. and a page leads you to literally a plethora of choices of that same product.
Variations by price, shape, colors, and places to buy, but all are essentially the same style that you saw and liked on your fav star. Cool eh?

Play around with it at Like.com
BTW…this really makes me question myself about the whole idea of individuality. If every one can really now dress like everyone else, will we succumb and do it, or will we take bits and pieces and make it our own? Will we cease to be individuals?
