Cute Find: B. Makowsky handbags

Sleek, well built statment handbags are all over the place; accesories like big bags and sexy pumps go well together and can be the defining factor in making an outfit standout.

You don’t need to spend a lot of money to have a great look, like my aunt always says you can go to school but you cant buy class, and these bags are class on a cheap girls budget.  So we’re mostly talking about $200 bag here, but divide that by the many years to come you’ll have it, and it literally becomes priceless.  This is an investment purchase.

They are just as well made with fine attention to detail as a many high end designer brands such as Guicci or Prada.

History:
B. Makowsky brand combines fine leathers, sleek hardware and stylish designs to create affordable leather handbags for today’s marketplace. With much attention to quality, our classic handbags feel great with a look that is timeless.

Named after Bruce Makowsky, the brand was created by himself and wife Kathy (of Kathy Van Zeeland fame) in 2006. Their success at growing the brand in two years has been unprecedented, and they truly want their customers to feel luxurious and be complimented on having great style with a B. Makowsky handbag.

Just (hand)bag it!

It seems everywhere I turn more and more of my female companions are wearing smaller long strapped bags. Not that they have ditched their large designer totes and duffel, no these are just a compliment to the nouveau feminine wardrobe. they are versatile and practical. sometimes all we really need is something that carries a little, instead of a carryall. Take a look at what I*ve been stumbling upon:

Gerard Darel handbags, the new ‘It bag’?

Is it just me, or does it seem like every other celebrity these days is carrying a Gerard Darel handbag? Angelina Jolie, Halle Berry, Jessica Alba just to name a few.

At first glance you wouldn’t see anything special in the style or construction of these big ‘carry alls’; you’d probably even think that it’s just a simple everyday bag that can add a punch of color( the colored versions are the most popular- but I love the brown bags) to your outfit while carrying a mass of stuff.

But, Oh there so much more, like the fact that they are French made – I don’t mean to sound snobbish, but they’re main showroom is right down the street from my apartment on Rue Reaumur and I always pass by starry eyed and all ( most wishing i had the super power to suck clothing through glass walls! …patehtic, I know, but so much fun!) – I have to post a pic of it later.

They’re using Charlotte Gainsbourg( daughter of French Singer/Icon Serge Gainsbourg) as their new model in their ads.

YSL Muse Bag lookalike Deal

Real vs. Steal
Remember last year when all I wanted was this Yves Saint Laurent Muse Oversize Bag? Well I still haven’t bought it, but its still on my list as one of the most simplistically styled designer bags out there. But its freaking ex-pen-sive!!!
So, If you want to get your hands on a look a like, thats quality and doesn’t look cheap, look no further because Baghaus has one for $59.80, as compared to the almost $2000 at Bergdorf Goodman.
