Beyonce + Blackface Photos + l’Officiel Magazine Paris

Here is every single photo from my issue of L’officiel March 2011, with Beyonce in Black face makeup. These photos have many people all worked up over her make-up. It’s just make-up used for artistic expression. I think she looks beautiful either way, dark or light skinned.

But how do you feel?

Tom Ford: Spring Summer 2011 Video

“Thank God for Tom Ford” is all I have to say after seeing this video of his Spring Summer 2011 collection. Here is someone dedicated to making quality clothes to make women feel good and not so caught up in the commercialization of luxury. This video has women he considers to be his muses; including Julianne Moore and Beyonce!

Also Tom says it best – You can market the hell out of a product, if its not good, it just won’t sell. Amen.

Louis Vuitton: 150 years of Trunks at Musee Carnavalet

Now this is what I call a Trunk Show!

On display at the Carnavalet Museum is a collection of more than 200 trunks representing the history and art of the luxurious Louis Vuitton brand.

In 1854 Louis Vuitton opened his first store in Paris at the Rue Nueve des Capucines, where he would sell his classic flat trunk to wealthy Parisians and travelers.

Since then Louis Vuitton has become the epitome of “Travelling in style”. Their bags and luggage collection are now world renowned for their artisanry.

Day Two – Fall 2010 Ready to Wear NYC Fashion Week

Fall 2010 Ready to Wear- The Best of Day Two– New York Fashion Week

Cynthia Steffe- Shaun Kearney seem to have taken the Wiliamsburg 2o something woman and decked her in some knee high thighs, flowy skirts and utilitarian coats such as hooded parkas and tweeds. These days the brand is becoming a mainstay on many retail chains as buyers are liking the revival of the brand to relate to the young and trendy shoppers. cynthia steffe 2010cynthia steffe fall 2010

Charlotte Ronson – The famous sibling has showed that she has staying power and with a collaboration from JCPenny under her belt she also knows what it means to make clothing that can easily transport into retail success. With this seasons line some of the pieces were a bit of a miss – that only the Olsens could carry off, such as the head-wraps/Turbans, but most everything else  could be deconstructed to wear with your regular wardrobe staples and fit right in.

Paris Windows – Gat Rimon

Parisian line Gat Rimon – Photos of showroom window display at 82 Rue Reaumur.

Great to see a styling with basic jeans. Looks like we’ll still be wearing our boyfriend jeans way into the summer! Other trends include the Feminine theme, blues, pastels, cream and lace.

Wish I had a detail shot of those heels – they are lace covered and oh so lovely. A day ago I saw that they put the open toed flat versions out too.

will do a Lookbook Love post later. till then check out the new collection here.
