To avoid looking like you just flew away from the nest, keep your feathered pieces to accessories instead of outfit pieces such as feathered vest or skirts.

The trick to mastering this seasons winter fashion trends is all about the art of layering with cardigans. I just went out and got yet another cardigans because really, they’re like shoes, you can never have too many. Recently I’ve been seeing many chunky type knit sweater cardigans in stores and on women on the street.

You can dress them up with belts, dress them down with jeans but I personally am addicted to the very simple V neck button down kinds that you can wear with just about anything like this tan cashmere one from J.Crew.

They vary in price for all you budget conscious shoppers (like me) and also for those who sometimes spend a little more (also like me). Isn’t it funny that personal style doesn’t respect any particular financial rule, so it doesn’t matter if you spend $20 or $2000 it’s about how you wear your clothes that matters.
