“Supermodels” at Steven Kasher Gallery

Category : fashion news, new york

“Supermodels of the ’70s and ’80s” is the title of the new exhibition from photographer Timothy Greenfield-Sander’s showing at the Steven Kasher Gallery in Chelsea, New York.

The body of work includes well known supermodels from the era such as Beverly Johnson, Kim Alexis, Cheryl Tiegs, and Christie Brinkley.Supermodels of the 70s and 80s supermodels of the 70s and 80s

Timothy writes: “I have always been interested in how we deal with aging in our hopelessly ‘youth oriented’ society. These women, now in their fifties, were once the reigning queens of American beauty. As ultimate icons of world-wide marketing, I knew their stories would be extraordinary and I wanted to hear what they had to say. For the portraits, I used my 8×10 Deardorff and also filmed a documentary of interviews and mise-en-scene.”

Exclusive Spotlight: Segal Yehudai the Beauty Guru

Category : beauty

Beauty Is in the Eyes of the Beholder:

I know absolutely nothing, I confess, NOTHING about make-up. I wash my face everyday with Pears glycerin soap and moisturize with Cetaphil, and thats pretty much my beauty routine. Very blah, I know. But when I need to step it up, I call in the pro.

Which is why I know Segal Yehudai , and you should too, she’s THE support team…

She’s done work with a diverse range of clients (which proves her versatility to doll up any face and sculpt any head).

I mean from a music video directed by 50 Cents with Olivia, to work with A&E Television, VH1, and Fashion Shows such as Rebecca Dannanberg, Emmanuel Ungaro, Helmut Lang, Calvin Klein, Betsy Johnson, Fendi, Versace to even the UNICEF she’s done it.

She’s an awesome pal( ok, so I’m kinda boasting, LOL, but wouldn’t you?) and a truly great artist, these images are just a few of her work.
