CUTE FIND: THE DENIM DRESS

The denim dress is one of the most versatile pieces any woman can have in her spring or summer wardrobe. It’s perfect for a garden party, taking the kids to the park or having a lazy Sunday. You can dress it up with heels or down with some flats or converse sneakers.

If you’re plus sized or have a fuller figure a denim shirt dress, halter top, or a full mini are perfect for accentuating your features.

I love this shirt dress version from Torrid.com

If you’re working with a tight budget and want something on the cheap, you can always save money by shopping at Forever21. It’s only $25.

The Best Sequin Dress Ever!

I think I’ve Found My Birthday Dress…

Get Me Bodied!

I usually don’t wear a lot of minis – but I’ve been thinking if God gives you lemons you might as well make Lemonade and since my legs are one of by best physical attributes well it couldn’t hurt to start showing a bit of skin, right!?

My birthday’s not until January but I’m already making plans – January will definitely be like the Jay-Z and Pharell Video for “Change Clothes”

Wanted: Acne Extreme Long Sleeve Stripe Dress

And I’m in love all over again…

Acne is fast becoming one of my favorite ready to wear brands – its simplistic takes on this 70s like dress is to die for. I’m seriously thinking about getting it for the $130 on one of my favorite online stores mytheresa.com but I’m so worried about the fit and if it will drape well on my body.

this is something I’d love to buy in a store here.

I’ll have to look to see who stocks Acne in Paris. wish me luck!

xoxo

Pastel Color Trends at New York Fashion Week, Spring 2009

Splashes of powder pink seems to be the latest trend watch for Spring 2009, New York Fashion Week this September. And why not, it’s a refreshing change from the present winter 2008 trend of deep hues and plenty of purple and black. I for one can’t wait for Spring 2009. I’m already so over the tartan trends of this season. Seriously, just give me anything with color, or anything with wearable pink that doesn’t make me look like a dressed up Barbie doll and I’m good.
 How about you?

TSE gave us some sexy and comfortable looking ensembles, with lots of light and breezy fabrics, you know likes ones we’d like to wear and get stopped with compliments on the street only to say ” oh this thing, I just threw it together this morning”

Abaete shows us how to wear pink leggings with almost everything, and makes it look like a cross between Marie Antoinette and Debbie Harry, a little bit sweet and rock and roll at the same time.

Alexandre Herchcovitch brought us sultry shades of pink to mesmerize, with loads of femininity from fabrics that flows with your curves to the circular ruffled styled cuts.

Daughters by Obedient Sons, did what I would term as Yves Saint Laurent meets American Apparel( I know a lot can fall between here), tailored pant suits and plenty of basis cotton t-shirt styles.

Ruffian has so far showed one of my best lines this seasons with  streamlined  femininity that’s rough around the edges. See through pastel  sprinkled tops, plenty of fringe accessories such as knee high brown sandals.

Threeasfour this season reminds me of a bouquet of dried roses, where the reds have faded to an over-worn pink but you can still see the beauty in their existence.
There was plenty of pastel colors on the runways the Spring 2009 NYC Fashion Week going on in New York City.  Stay tuned for more trends updates.
