My little Monochromatic friend

Inspiration comes from the weirdest of place. While watching Madagascar for the 100th time( I’m a fool for funny flicks), all those cute little pixar animals had me thinking about clothes, animal prints, monochromatic fabrics( like a Zebra print) and “tried and true” basics.

And Voila! Even though I love white and very often stay away from black ( I’m a big color-razzi), both black and white clothing are no doubt timeless and classic. Both are a staples in everyone womans wardrobe, and there should be no shortage of ways to wear the things you’ve already got right? Or if you’re looking for ideas check out my pictorial shopping list: cute twist to old favorites and some new ones too.

1.White Belted shirt dress by Doo.Ri available at The Gap $88.00

2. Vintage Collection Elle Round Sunglasses at 80s Purple $15.00

3.Distressed Wide Leather belt at Newport News Now $15.00

4. Alice + Olivia Chicago Baby Doll black
and white Dress

6.Tory Burch Nappa Leather reva Ballet Flats at shopbop.com

Ideally i’d get rid of the fabric belt off the DooRi dress and add something like the black belt and black ballet flats to match. And the Alice + Olivia dress can be worn many times over leggings or jeans. The accessories like the white Edith bag and sunglasses can be worn with anything!

Love – Jahaute!

New talent gets a big break with GAP. Oh, I can’t wait to see what will be the offspring from this marriage!

“We are absolutely invested in emerging talent. Part of us has always been about celebrating young designers,” said Marka Hansen, president of Gap North America, in an interview Tuesday. She elaborated on Gap’s new limited edition collection for women called Gap Design Editions, which will be created by Doo-Ri Chung, Thakoon Panichgul and Rodarte’s Kate and Laura Mulleavy.
