Salmon Silk Blouse – the denim edition

Pairing heels and flirty well structured tops with jeans gave a lil sophisticated simplicity to yesterdays outfit. Can you believe I found it at H&M on sale!
I’m just in love with the versatility of this blouse, I can wear it with anything and it pulls the look together.

Paris Sale: Soldes January 2008 (Soldes d’hiver)

Its that time of year again, when crowds pile into stores a mad rush at grabbing clothing, knocking other women over with their pocketbooks, compiling battle scars, from shopping. I tell you Parisian sales are no joke, you have to be fit fierce and ready to dive into a pile of 70% off clothes from last season with the rest of paris. You literally have to fight to come out alive.

Its all the price you pay for a sale that only happens twice a year. Yup just 2 times a year!!! I mean what civilized country can do that to women. Let me tell you, France! We might have the best social and health care in the world but when it comes to shopping at a reduced price, you wait and look forward to the sales like you look forward to the olympics; with great hope and massive preparation.
It’s certainly not for the faint of heart. You’ll be overwhelmed with choices and shoppers speeding by. One great thing is that every week after the sale begins, the price reduction increases. I can’t tell you the amount of 5Euro stuff I got away with last year!
Paris Soldes Jan 9th to Feb 16th…all over Paris at shops and boutiques like Printemps, Galleries Lafayette, Zadig and Voltaire, Colette, Diesel, Killiwatch and Kenzo to name a few.

High(Waisted) and Mighty?

I am a jeans fein, I seriously have pairs upon pairs. I can’t seem to resist when a new wash, new cut or new trend emerges. I feel really comfortable in jeans; I wear them in the office, to a night out and a day shopping with the girls.

Well about two years ago, I remember Scarlett Johansson wearing some pretty fierce looking high waisted jeans at a Imitation of Christ fashion show, swaggering her hips down the runway like a vixen with a cigarette. I thought she looked like a 70’s disco dancer.
And now I see them on many of my fave shopping sites, in stores and then I even saw this Diesel ad and the pants that look kinda cute( if you look like the model)?

I’m kinda on middle ground about my feelings for this trend. I think it can be hot, and funky. But I’m a little bit intimidated though as to whether I’d take the leap and buy a pair.
What do you think? They can be very Charlie’s Angels as well as they can be very, well, Murder She Wrote, if you get my drift.
