Key Lime is in and I’m not talking about the pie! It was everywhere during Paris Fashion Week – I thought I’d be the only one rocking the electric green, but I was outnumbered.
If you’re tempted to try the color block trends this season why not do so with a bit of green and a black jeans and blazer? You don’t have to copy the entire DVF runway look, though I know many of you guys can pull it off, especially in the summer time.
Mercedez Benz Fashion Week Fall 2011 is over. But not many people knew that you could see videos of the collections and backstage on Youtube.
Many shows were even streaming live on the Internet; as will be the case during London, Milan and Paris Fashion Weeks.
Power to the people! I didn’t do a day to day round up because, well everyone was doing that, but I’m working on some mood boards on looks we can wear now inspired from the present Fall 2011 collections. It’s going to be hot and very budget friendly.

MIchael Kors is one of my favorite fashion designers, every season he makes clothes that arent just for stick figures, peices that can transition from boardroom to weekend shopping. He’s really in tune with what women want, time after time. I love him and his pants suits is to your body as is butter on warm toast; divine.

Calvin Klein Fall 2011 Ready-to-Wear – Listen to Nicole Phelps from Style.com – One of the best fashion writers of all time. If you don’t know she writes those bomb ass reviews during fashion weeks. As for the collection it is simple, perhaps you can find many of the styles in your local Mango. But CK has always been well, simple.
I was a bit disappointed I couldn’t find a good Victoria Beckham Video, as the collection has really matured and in a way embraced real women bodies with a lot of flowy yet stylish dresses and bold colors. Not to mention the bags were to die for.
I’m in love with the color purple!! No, not the play, the actual color.
If you’re like me and love bright colors, well this season we are in no short supply of stuff to wear that’s going to brighten the world (and/or annoy the heck out of our co-workers) – who are all jealous by the way because not even in their dreams could they rock a bright yellow Proenza top and a purple MJ pumps and still be taken seriously!).
Well, anyways this post started because I was casually flipping through Last months issue of Essence Magazine (I’m in Jamaica, unlike NYC I never get my mags in advance) which had my “it” girl Jennifer Hudson gracing the cover with photographs by Len Prince.
Jennifer Hudson, In the magazine’s content page she was wearing this ravishing purple dress that really flattered her lovely curves.
Anyways, It really reminded me that I was going to do a post on pretty purple dress. I’m really hoping purple is here to stay ( for a while).

Yesterday Alicia Keys wore this beautiful blue wrap dress to MTV’s TRL in New York City, and I thought she looked so beautiful, and it also made me want to run out a get a pretty wrap dress( what can i say , i’m jealous when it come down to fashiony stuff like dresses and shoes, can you blame me?) The blue looks great on her skin and the complimenting blue eye make-up is really poping out. she was a lil bold to wear it with a leggings, I think a thinner leggings might have worked better, as the showing of the ankle truncates your body size and she’s already petite. But still cute!! And check out the blinging accesories! I’m looooovvvviinnnggg the ring! In the process of trying to cop my own pair right now, so if someone knows where to get one let me know before I start hammering away at home trying to get a wearable self-made peice.
