Japan Fashion Week Round-up [Part Deux]

I’m back giving you the sweetest fashion and designers and shows on the planet, and we’re still looking to Japan. This list come a day before the finale on Friday, I’ve picked some brands worth highlighting. Some good, bad or ugly, so it was only befitting that I made the list as such. See below:

the good
matohu

I like the clean and relaxed naturalness of this line.

YLANG YLANG

The diverse use of different fabrics make the line pop out, but the designs keep it focused on elegance.

LILITH
I think this was a very good showing, I loved the flare skirts and pin pants, I’m very much into anything Safari, and thats going to be a big trend for Summer 07!

HIROKO KOSHINO

A little bit futureistic but also a little bit retro, Star Trek meets Marie Antoinette. I love it!

ato

I the color leggings are going to be a popular trend summer 07 as well.

the bad

YUMA KOSHINO

doho

SOMARTA

I could see Beyonce performing in one of these outfits but ordinary people wearing it on 7th Avenue NYC, I don’t think so, but great performance pieces.

Né-net

I Love the Red Riding hood capes!

the ugly

GUT’S DYNAMITE CABARETS

Amm, these guys are so much fun! I think they are the Japanese answer to Heatherette.

Lochers Clothing: Pretty Dirty Things

I love Swiss designers, they have an unpredictable take on everything, and these days I’ve been finding many young emerging designers from there, like Nicole and her line of pretty girly t-shirts embossed with witty dirty sayings called Lochers.

Like the two below that says, “I love Porn” and the other “I really need some fucking coffee”. They all had me giggling, even though I’m not sure I’d wear one, yet, but maybe you would.

These t-shirts are bold enough to make every rebellious high schooler, co-ed and urban chica run to the mall to cop one, but for now I think you can only get them online at here
Even the site is a little bit “sweet & sour”. Check it out.
