INTRODUCING: Vivian Maier Photography

One of the Tumblrs I follow posted this gorgeous black and white photography of a black little boy riding a horse, in the middle of a city street.

Then found out that the photographer behind the lens was Vivian Maier, she lived her life alone and was a nanny for many years, never sharing her photographs with anyone until one day after her death a lucky young man bid on a box of olf photographs at a sale in Chicago and what he got in return was years of American life captured on film by someone with an amazing eye.

Black Cape + Zara Felt Hat + Kookai Jumpsuit

What I wore today.

Yes, it’s still freezing here in Paris. But the the other day on our way to lunch I badgered my hubby into taking some photos of my lil skort romper / short jumpsuit, black cape and black hat combo.

The short jumpsuit was from Kookai and almost got the matching tweed jacket but I thought that would be so overkill?!  It’s silk blouse top that’s super soft and the bottom is wool, so super warm.

Zara Black Felt Wide Brim Hat Paris Fashion I’m still trying to make my wardrobe work more for me (You better work! – RuPaul voice*), and I actually forgot I had this cute black cape, that I used to wear back in 2009.

You all know how much I love vintage bags and this is one of my oldies but goodies from NYC.

Zucca Black Open Toe Shoes Paris Fashion Streetstyle

And I was crazy for wanting to show my toes in these Zucca shoes. Leave it to me to do get a pedicure and pretend like its all summer-y in zero degree weather. Oh Lordy… Anyways the shoes were super comfy – I think I might have figured out my ideal heel height here; around 2.5 inches and chunky.

Pictures of our wedding day…

Simple light cotton dresses were the order of the day!
Hard to beleive, but my husband took all the images! Using his professional camera and time exposure, he knew all the right poses and places to shoot. I just did what he told me ( well, most of the time…ha), and best of all I got all these fabulous images free of charge :)
