Sneak Peek: Lanvin + H&M Collection Photos

lanvin h&m ad campaign preview

I'm digging that they put an older babe in the ad

Here it is – it leaked on the net before it’s due date. And I have a couple things to say:

1. I’ll be saving my money for October 23rd when it hits H&M stores here in Paris

2. Please please don’t let it be an all Black Collection!!!

3. Please let the shades be a part of the collection

4. The two dresses to the far left and far right both look like something I’ve seen in store before!

How are you feeling about the upcoming collabo?

Tommy Ton does Lookbook for Saks

Tommy Ton, popular street fashion photographer and blogger of Jak and Jil has been moving up and up the fashion ranks with his work.

Now doing an impressive streetsyle inspired look book for high-end retail powerhouse Saks Fifth Ave.

This work comes after seasons of capturing the looks outside the tents and catwalk, details of the fashionable people who either attend fashion shows to the stylish wanna-be bystanders, from Paris to New York.

Lanvin + H&M is this for real?

Lanvin H&M first PhotosUpscale French fashion house Lanvin is set to join forces with Swedish mass retail chain H&M for its next designer collaborations. In the past the store has asked the likes of Karl Lagerfeild and Jimmy Choo.

The collection of both womenswear and menswear will be revealed to the world on November 2, just three weeks before the clothes hit the store, making the launch ofLanvin for H&M among the most anticipated fashion events of the year.

Here’s just some of the bla bla bla : “H&M approached us to collaborate, and see if we could translate the dream we created at Lanvin to a wider audience, not just a dress for less. I have said in the past that I would never do a mass-market collection, but what intrigued me was the idea of H&M going luxury rather than Lanvin going public. This has been an exceptional exercise, where two companies at opposite poles can work together because we share the same philosophy of bringing joy and beauty to men and women around the world.” Alber Elbaz, artistic director of Lanvin.

“We are thrilled about Lanvin’s collection for H&M, it is such an exciting moment. Lanvin will bring to H&M a luxurious French tradition that is also modern and playful. It is very much a Lanvin collection, using their cut and tailoring, with lots of focus on form and details for both women and men. The launch in November is going to be full of wonderful surprises.” Margareta van den Bosch, creative advisor at H&M.”

Photos from Sonia Rykiel vs H&M, Paris

The long awaited collaboration with Sonia Rykiel and H&M finally hit stores today in Paris.

I hopped on down to the Les Halles H&M and many pieces where gone within 30 minutes. Knit dresses, pink shorts, platform heels and flower headbands were all over the place with as many people fighting to find their sizes.

The knits were full of color and would usually be what I’d go crazy over – except I wasn’t really blown over by any of the designs, and the black dresses were way too basic to get as an investment purchase.
