The Man behind the lens Bill Cunningham. The democratic photographer.

During the last Paris Fashion Week, I met Bill Cunningham on the street outside the Zac Posen show at The Four Seasons. As usual, he had his camera in hand and was busy snapping away at interesting people, not so much concerned for the brands and celebrities but about really photographing fashion as it happens. It’s about the clothes! After all we are all walking canvases, right?

I’ve been seeing his photos on the New York Times website for a while now, and listening to this video makes me love him even more. Such a simple yet great man.

What a way to kick the week off!

“Thank God for Tom Ford” is all I have to say after seeing this video of his Spring Summer 2011 collection. Here is someone dedicated to making quality clothes to make women feel good and not so caught up in the commercialization of luxury. This video has women he considers to be his muses; including Julianne Moore and Beyonce!

Also Tom says it best – You can market the hell out of a product, if its not good, it just won’t sell. Amen.

This coat has been my go-to when I am in a hurry to get out the house and don’t have time to “dress to kill” – it covers everything with style! I can tell all my girlfriends that if you invest in a good trench coat you’ll never be dissatisfied.

I can’t tell you guys how much I love this hat, I have one in black and another brown checkered one too. Need to post those photos!

Style Inspiration from Elle UK

I’m thankful for fashion shoots that focus on the clothes these days – Chanel Iman, is a model, some people seem to forget that it is a models job is to make it all about the clothes. I remember being at Wilhelmina in NYC and they would use the phrase ” clothes hangers” all the time!

Now lets talk about the clothes!

I Love how Raf Simons is redefining effortless elegance in a fun way with the neons from this season.  I can wear a plain white t-shirt with anything!

Karl Lagerfeld is a genius. Everything her creates at Fendi makes my body yearn. I want to have a corner office and VIP meetings just to wear these.

All white is all right when paired with some old cowboy boots. Ture american classic, thanks to Ralph Lauren, doing what her does best.
