Who says you can’t be in two places at once?

I’m doing a writing collaboration with the new fashion and style website AnywearGirl as their Paris Style Contributor.

Like Rihanna says “Life’s a game but it’s not fair. I break the rules so I don’t care”

So you can check me out here on Toocute!Magazine and over there too!

I’ll still be dishing on the latest fashion, style, shopping, trends on the Parisian scene.

My last post was on the Parisian fashion brand Zadig and Voltaire

Curiosity led me to Colette

I went to Colette on my lunch break Friday, because I heard they were going to have a photo exhibition up about crowds / people from concerts – anyways the setting up and installation wasn’t finished so I was moesy-ing around trying to find a book or a magazine when I finally had the chance to flip through the new The Selby in your Place by Todd Selby.

There it was in between “Booze, BBQ & Blues” and some forgettable pop sketch book on everyday buys ( this last one really had me thinking maybe I too can make money writing about interesting but forgettable stuff? You know like “Life in Paris- Frustrations of a Foreigner” it’ll be about daily observations and funny frustrations. What do you think?

Anyways back to The Selby. Gawd! that book made me really interested about the way that real creative interesting type people live and made me feel great about my decorating abilities , which by the way is just about zero. Even though i drool at deco blogs and miss my monthly Domino Mag, let’s just say which all my efforts, at best I keep a clean apartment and not trying to trip over my kids toys and my husband’s camera equipment!

Where the heck do these people get they’re obsessive collections from?

Seriously I’m now going to become a hermit and start collecting things ( other than shoes which doesn’t really count because everybody’s got those!).

I think I’m now addicted to stuff like The Selby, because it just makes me feel good that even though I’ll probably  never make it in AD nor Elle Decor there’s always hope for me in The Selby!

Coincidentally, I just found out my fave NYC blog Refinery29 did an amazing funny post on getting shot by The Selby.

Urban Outfitters Interviews Street Etiquette

Street Etiquette is Joshua Kissi and Travis Gumbs, two guys from the Bronx that chronicles their journey in style via their blog online.

Here’s a snippet form the interview by Urban Outfitters:

Your blog seems like it’s got that crossover mentality, which makes it super unique.

Joshua: We’re telling a story. A story that’s been told before, but we’re telling it from our perspective—two guys from the Bronx perspective. So if we’re wearing a tweed coat, I mean people have been wearing tweed coats for centuries, but the way we’re wearing it is different…

Good looking guys with style are always a pleasure to look at, no wonder the popularity of their blog!
