Winter Trends – Parka Power

parka trend

Topshop has just introduced a line of Parkas to their new collection – I’ve been seeing many women wearing their Parkas quite stylishly here in Paris – I bought mine at H&M and I wear it when I’m dressed up or down. It Just works – keeps me warm and it matches my green YSL bag :)

Parkas – the traditional unstylish utilitarian outerwear are making a huge comeback. Look out for them in 2010…

Walking Tall – Paris Street Style Inspiration

stylish paris woman on street

Love this look from Jolie G on Lookbook.nu. You go girl!
neutral tones of greys, white and blacks always work well together.

PS – tried those YSL heels back in November and OMFG – I’m a sucker for heels but I seriously could not walk in those! Have to give kudos to all you ladies that can.

Looks we love: MinkPink new to NASTYGAL

I'm loving the fierce Lada Gaga-esque look of the White Supreme Shoulder Tee
$32.00

I love all of the MinkPink collection! Everythign just looks so easy to wear and best of all – i cant see anything that would need to be ironed or dry cleaned, which is definitely a plus for me.
Thier Tied and Twisted Cutout Dress is so sexy and simple.
$64.00

The Fading Away Floral Skirt looks very vintage.
$72.00

And the Straight A's Stripe Jumper is totally simplistic bad ass.

Oonagh is Nanette Lepore’s new line

Nanette Lepore launches basics line Oonagh. Sometimes a diffusion retail line can just be too diluted – and thats exactly what oonagh looks like. According to the Cut Blog Nanette Lepore's

Oonagh "A smart move for a down market, Oonagh has a nice balance of loose, smart construction, up-to-date color palettes, and diffusion-line prices."

But is it just me of does this just look like loose clothign i canbuy at H&M or even Old Navy?
I guess I'll just have to wait and see what the line looks like in person.

Soldes d’hiver – My Week in Sales

So I told you all that the Sales ( Soldes d'hiver Paris) have started lastweek – and to my disappointment I didint get ANYTHING at my new favorite brand store ACNE! – They no longer have the Extreme Strip Dress I wanted and the Atacomas were indeed in stock but not on sale!

BUT – it's since been a week and my heart has healed thanks to my good ole pal…H&M…seriously I'm still surprised at the stuff I can find at this very mainstream retail mainstay – Wool Cardigans & Silk Dresses for 20euros!!
Also, picked up three dresses at Et Vous for 70euro a pop – in purple, red and blue! Suck that! I'm sooo tired of wearing black like the rest of Paris – Gawd, I'm such a hypocrite. :)
Anyways going back to H&M and All Saints today, as today marks the start of the second markdown- which means 70% off and more in stores!
I think these sales are really bringing out the my very shallow yet frugal me. I kinda like it – getting a fashion fix and saving money at the same time gives a huge thrill.
Will try to do a mini-fashion show and post picks of things I've bought during the sale. Promise!
