Give it to me right

Go Melanie…

So I think the first time I heard Melanie Fiona I was shopping in H&M – they have some good music sometimes – when I was in college I discovered Mos Def thanks to the H&M at 34th Street/Penn Station where I worked. You know that song “Umi Says”?

Anyways, I’m loving her voice..kind of like Amy’s. Exactly what I needed to discover right in time for the weekend.
Hope you enjoy the music and TGIF

Color haze: young guys on Rue Motorgueil

Category : paris, street fashion, streetstyle, style

One of the many cool things about my neighbourhood is that it now has so many stores, cafés and tiny boutiques that you’re bound to run into many eclectic people shopping – or just people watching.
men shopping paris
I saw these two guys on my way home and was loving the very similar look of matching blues , one with pink the other with purple. Their shopping bag is from Episode on Rue Tiquetonne, a vintage store.

Bright colors (on guys) are having a comeback, I’ve been seeing it on the rise in Paris this season along with clear colored oversize glasses.

I’ve changed!

Hi guys!

I’m finally making the move to wordpress from blogger this week and really hoping everything goes well – don’t want to loose my links, page rank and past 4 years worth of blogging.

Also, taking this opportunity to optimize stuff and work on a new fresh look for 2010…you know something a little bit more me, that you can appreciate and relate to as well.

It’ll take me a while to get everything back to 100%, but it’s going to be hot!

stay tuned while I work things out ASAP…

My gosh! It’s 3Am and I’m up working on my migration from blogger – its been one hell of a night- so many things went wrong – perhaps I should write a blog post on that for all my fashion blogger freinds who want to make the move too? Will try to pan that out.

Basically – just want to say even though the site may look like crap for the next few days – keep coming back – its going to be so much better :)

I promise to make keep adding more on life and fashion in Paris as well as hold things down on the NYC fashion scene – shopping, deals, events, news, photos and random musings on life and all things that are just TooCute not to blog about!

xoxo

On to the next one…search for perfection

Category : paris

More photos of me on the streets of Paris – will try to add more , more and more. It’s like therapy playing dress-up and getting your photo taken by your hubby.

Right now I’m listening to On to the next one by Jay-Z... guess, you just can’t kill the New Yorker in me :)

“Cant be scared to fail , search for perfection – on to the next one – world can’t hold me back got too much ambition”…

Listening to Jay is like NYC therapy. Sometimes its really hard creating a “home” away from “home” – I’ve been feeling quite homesick about being away from New York, best friends, parents and all. And dealing with a whole different culture on so many different levels – work, customs and social life…

Do you ever get “homesick” ?

Looking on the bright side my boys are here and thats all right with me :)
check out my husbands website here.

Also if you’re ever in paris come check out Spoken Word Paris on Monday nights in Belleville. It’s a cool and cozy lil bar with a stage where you can get up and do a reading, poetry or performance. Last night was off the hook, very powerful and moving.

I read a poem I wrote about steak – yea thats right – red meat…lol
