Style File: Fasinators and Cocktail hats

Head over heels

I’m in love with black fasinators ( some call them cocktail hats, flower headbands, top hats), but whatever you call them I can tell I’m not the only one falling in love here; because they are everywhere.

You know how I get when i love something but don’t have the courage to try it ( or in this case I’m convinced my head is horrifyingly huge), I talk about them and droll over them until you guys just tell me to stop, because quite frankly enough is enough. right. so let me know.

Also do you have any pictures you would like to send me wearing your headband/cocktail hat/fasinator, don’t hesitate I cant wait to get more emails and photos from you guys!

Here are a few of my favorites;

The absolutely Cutest valentines day cards

These are the funniest, coolest, wittiest Valentine’s day cards ever!

These are the perfect greeting cards to show your appreciation for your friends and loved ones.

  • This one just melts my heart, so we know its also effective in doing what its supposed to do. Hop on over to the Tiny Prints store for more wonderful card choices.
  • I love the type font ans colors in this LOVE valentines day card, it makes me feel so summery and ready for a day at the fair with some cotton candy and ice- cream.
  • Not to mention they are totally kid friendly – so the children can give and receive cards too!

What’s your favorite card or gift? and What are you looking forward to this V-Day?

magazine storage – decoded and made easy

I’m searching for a magazine rack.

I’m so tired of having all my magazines in about twenty different places around the apartment. and my son thinks everything is an addition to his toy kingdom, so I really need something that is also child proof – or at least I can keep in a sensible place where I can still access it and out of his reach ( I’ll work it out, I’m sure!).

I’m a big google-izer and low and behold what I found on DesignSponge from 2007, and entire article dedicated to Magazine storage systems. I freaking love that blog!

So I can go into like a thousand minute details , but you can just read the article here for your own inspiration. And I found there is an entire website dedicated to Magazine racks , called what else, magazineracks.com

uhmmm, stranger websites are around so, I won’t say any snotty comments about this one.
Bon Courage!

Grammy 2009 Fashions: Cute vs Not Cute

Here is a quick pictorial round up of the 2009 Grammy’s. I’ll be adding comments later.

But you don’t have to wait for me to start the discussion
what do you think?

Ok, Cyndi we get it time after time that you like to experiment with your hair, but this Mary Antoinette hairstyle is not flattering – what are you storing up there?

And could somebody give Duffy a good stylist – she’s got the sweetest voice and Gods bless her heart but seriously she just looks dull.

Style! Loving both looks from Jennifer and Estelle( who’s wearing a little too much make-up but we’ve all been there ladies, haven’t we?

Me no likey! What gives. Maybe both dresses look a lot less like splattered paint in person.

Elegance! Go Taylor, you’re sticking to what been tried tested and remains true: black, flowing evening gowns.

Its a bit off, but its Katy Perry, we love it non-the-less. Don’t we?

I love MIA, and at 9months pregnant she’s still got a lot of swagga to wear a dress like that. Wouldn’t that fabric make a great cushion?

Dear Leona, you have a nice figure, we get it, but you look kinda naked in this skin tight dress – its just too…, well just too close to your skin tone.
