Spring/Summer Haute Couture Collection WRAP-UP: Valentino

This was a nice pristine collection with clean simple cuts mixed with playful light fabrics that move with the air to create an effortless yet classic feel. No one does dresses like Valentino.

Giorgio Armani Spring/Summer 2007 haute couture collection at Paris Couture week

Thanks to my photographer friend (Thierry Chomel) for sending me this picture of Katie Holmes and Victoria Beckham at the Opening Party for the Giorgio Armani Avenue Montaigne boutique in Paris. Katie looks so grown up in this sleek velvet black suit. Victoria looks like a bobblehead doll right? But I must say that her cropped hair do is a lot better than when she was wearing those badly botched hairstyles of years past.

Anways, here are some looks from the show:

Sure, its haute and its not actully meant to be ripped right from the runway and ready to wear, but I can see some of these peices on the hollywood red carpet. The line is very classically elegant and shimmery. Perfect for a star studded night.

Whats Up With Wal-Mart?

I remember back in the day when my girls and I would run into Wal-Mart for a printer, cds, lotions, candy, copy paper, pills, coal, air beds…shoot, anything. I mean anything EXCEPT clothes, they were simply too country-looking for our city-esque taste.

But, ohh la la..have you seen some of the new clothes at Wal-Mart, I remember seeing some cute ads in Vogue. But my I was so surprised, to find these lovelies that I know you lovely ladies will also appreciate.

This romantic blouse is only $12.94 and the puffy sleeve shirt is so Victorian, and I love the eggshell color as well. and its only $10.

You can dress up these dresses with a cute blazer and some pumps or strappy sandals, or dress them down to the beach with flip flops and and a cute beach tote. You know i’m all about cheapness…opps , I mean chicness and versatility!!!

Wrap It Up: Wrap dresses all around

Yesterday Alicia Keys wore this beautiful blue wrap dress to MTV’s TRL in New York City, and I thought she looked so beautiful, and it also made me want to run out a get a pretty wrap dress( what can i say , i’m jealous when it come down to fashiony stuff like dresses and shoes, can you blame me?)

The blue looks great on her skin and the complimenting blue eye make-up is really poping out. she was a lil bold to wear it with a leggings, I think a thinner leggings might have worked better, as the showing of the ankle truncates your body size and she’s already petite. But still cute!! And check out the blinging accesories! I’m looooovvvviinnnggg the ring! In the process of trying to cop my own pair right now, so if someone knows where to get one let me know before I start hammering away at home trying to get a wearable self-made peice.

Ofcourse like any fashionite should I love Diane von Furstenberg! and here are two reasons why:

julian Mini Wrap Dress $285.00 and LONA WRAP DRESS IN BLACK

So you know i’m all about saving money where I can. Well, i found these price grabbers that are lil on the thrifty side, without looking too cheap and hurridly sewn.

Palm Tree Wrap $20.80 from this greatglam.com website that carries a lot of party tops.

$21.45
by Mossimo® Black: Long-Sleeve Side Wrap Dress – Yay! TARJAY!
and Puff Sleeve Wrap Dress at asos.com $21.45..I’m really loving this color.
