Category : fashion

underpants are meant to be worn “under” right?
Come on now Sienna, I love you but you just lost one point,
with this hideous gettup…
If this ever becomes the next fashion trend
i’ll walk around naked. I really would!

Golden Steal:The Look for Less

Category : fashion

X

Todays Style Steal is this Yellow Nina Ricci dress that Reece Witherspoon wore to The Golden Globes Award ceremony. I thought it was a beautiful dress, and she looked radiant in this mid lenght red carpet number.
I’ve searched and thanks to edressme New York I’ve found a similar dress, that ( get this) can be custom ordered to suit your exact measurements for under $200!

Now the red ribbon shoes are super cool and add even more elegance. Fina a similar pair at gojane.com

Forever 21 now has shoes, online!

Yay!!! – for those of you who arent so close you can walk in and grab a pair of trendy shoes for cheap, consider your prayers answered. Not too sure about the qulity you’ll get for $10 and $20 shoes, but if you want a quick trend fix, this should ease the pain.

The Skinny Model Debate: Let them eat cake!

Category : fashion week

Oh heck…Paris Haute week just wrapped up and we’re on the heel of NYC fashion week, and of course there is still the heated debate about the “toothpick thin” models. What to do, what to do? The industry is certainly getting a lot of pressure from people both within and outside.
Shoot, I say let it be. These people have built an empire on skinny-ness being the epitome of a great model (ok except Tyra Banks – who claims she was never bone thin, on her Larry King Interview last night).
But I digress, point is Rome was not built in one day, and it’ll probably take more days to renovate. The fashion industry needs a self-evaluation and a make-over, true. Most of these models have a steady diet of fruits, miso soup and cigarettes, true. It will take more than talk to have more “healthier” looking models on the runway, true.
We know for sure that they’ll be a staple on the London catwalks
What’s you’re two cents on the issue?

Stella McCartney to design bags for Le Sportsac

Category : Uncategorized

Word on the industry street is that Mademoiselle McCartney will be deigning a series of bags for Le Sportsac.
I for one am excited because (A) I like Stella’s take on simple yet edgy designs and (B) I looovvveee me some Lesportsac, still pinning over the tokidoki remix.

Now we all remember what she did for Adidas, I never wanted to do exercise more than when I saw the revamped line, actually it made me start group yoga, I finally had some cute gear to wear).

and H&MWe all remember what happened here (unless you were one of the lucky heifers who actually got to even see the line before it disappeared from the shelves and racks of H&M). I was very pissed, this was what I’ve been envisioning for years; affordable, chic designer clothes!

I’ll keep my ears and eyes glued for anymore details.
